It's a lifestyle change, not a diet

Nutrition

When given proper nutrition, the human body maintains itself remarkably well. It heals itself more efficiently and upkeep is simply easier. For this reason, Frisina Family Chiropractic carries the complete line of Standard Process® whole food supplements, which contain many of the minerals, vitamins and phytonutrients that are missing from our daily diet. These whole food supplements work to provide the nutrition necessary for good health and healing.

Dr. Frisina is a Whole Food Nutrition Specialist who has an amazing ability to determine what nutrients the body needs and will utilize. She uses Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) to create a personalized supplement program for her patients. She tests which nutrient is needed and the exact dosage needed at that time. Each nutritional program is personally customized for you. You are a unique person and we do not believe in a “cookie cutter” program.

Needle-Free Allergy/Sensitivity Testing

Sensitivities can cause a wide array of symptoms including:

  • Headaches
  • Skin issues
  • Sinus problems
  • Digestive issues
  • Sleeping trouble
  • Weight gain
  • and so much more.

What is tested?
This test includes 4 panels (foods, heavy metals, immune challenges and toxic chemicals). There are 69 total vials tested.

How does it work?
Dr. Frisina has been certified in Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) and uses it to determine what you may have a sensitivity to. There is nothing injected into you for the testing, so we can be very specific as to which vial is causing your problem(s). Then once the sensitivity is identified we can put together a plan to get you well. If you are ready to finally find the cause of your problems call 217-787-4345 to schedule your test.

Orange-Tomato Couscous with Chicken Recipe
This cinnamon- and cumin-spiked couscous with chicken takes its inspiration from Morocco. It’s made mostly with pantry staples—all you have to pick up is some chicken thighs, a bunch of cilantro and an orange. The orange slices become tender after cooking—you can eat them skin and all. For a variation, substitute diced, boneless leg of lamb for the chicken. Serve with steamed green beans or a spinach salad.

Asparagus Salad Topped with Poached Eggs Recipe
This asparagus salad topped with poached eggs is satisfying yet light, making it a nice option for lunch, brunch or even dinner with some crusty bread. Roasting brings out a toasty flavor in the asparagus. We like this salad with medium-set poached eggs so the yolks are still a little runny, but poach your eggs for the full 8 minutes if you prefer hard-set yolks.

It’s National Banana Bread Day! One Amazing (Healthier) Recipe to Celebrate Blog Post

I learned everything I know about baking from my mother. When I was a little girl, I loved getting up super-early on weekend mornings and helping her in the kitchen. I would measure and mix the dry ingredients (my favorite part was making the well in the middle) while she whisked the eggs. I was still in elementary school when I baked my first banana bread.

Asparagus & Salmon Spring Rolls Recipe
These spring rolls are filled with smoked salmon, tender-crisp asparagus and plenty of fresh herbs. Spring rolls look impressive when you put them out for a party, but they are actually easy to make. To simplify the process, lay out all the ingredients you need to make the rolls near your work surface before you begin.

Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili

Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili Recipe
Make a double batch of this quick vegetarian chili, full of black beans and sweet potatoes, and eat it for lunch the next day or freeze the extras for another night. We love the smoky heat from the ground chipotle, but omit it if you prefer a mild chili. Serve with tortilla chips or cornbread and coleslaw.
